John Forest

Born and raised in Nashua, NH, John's childhood summers on Drakes Island in Wells, ME inspired a deep love for the region which has only grown with time. A graduate of Middlesex School in Concord, MA, John attended Bates College before training at Circle in the Square Theatre School in NYC, where he began a two decade career as an actor in film, television, and theatre. Eventually settling in Los Angeles and working alongside such icons as Charlize Theron, Jerry Seinfeld, and Hugh Laurie. John’s years in “the biz” have allowed him to cultivate strong skills in communication, collaboration, negotiation, photography and visual media, as well as a warm presence that makes people feel at ease.

Now a husband and father of three, John has returned to New England to raise his family along the coastline which shaped him. He is beyond thrilled to be a part of the Aland Realty team, helping people find their version of that feeling in this gorgeous and truly special part of the world. 

When he’s not working, you’ll find John surfing and paddleboarding, writing and performing music, or going deep down some local history rabbit hole — don’t ask him about Boon Island unless you have some time!
